October 25th

We had another great day in the ring last sunday at a Sighhound club show in Stockholm.
Lexi
was 2nd in puppy bitch class 4-6 months out of 6 entries. Her brother Pigalle won male puppy class out of 4 entered. The judge for the puppies was Markku Mähönen, Finland.

Looper & Stavros were both entered in open class and ended up 3rd & 4th. Tiger was 2nd in champion class and ended up 3rd BD.

Bree won champion class and then went on and won BB, from there she won BOB again! This was her 5th BOB this year, 4 of the times after having her litter this summer. Burnt Sienna had a winning breeders group but didn't compete in the finals. Adult whippets were judged by Graham Hill (UK) that had never judged whippets in Sweden before.

I didn't have my camera with me but received a very nice picture of Bree taken ringside by Jörgen Oinonen, THANK YOU!

Burnt Sienna whippets had a great weekend!

We started at a Whippet speciality show in Stockholm on saturday. Lexi won puppy bitch class 4-6 months out of 6 entries, then she beat the winning male pup and was BIS puppy 4-6 months total. Her brother Pigalle was 2nd out of 7 entered male pups. The judge for the puppies was Elisabet Janzon (Sweden) of kennel Wolf Tone.

The adult whippets were judged by Jackie Whitaker-Crosby (UK) of kennel Mulcair.

She put Stavros as her open dog winner out of 18 entered and he ended up 4th BD. Tiger won champion class and ended up as BOS of 44 male entries!
Then on to the bitches, Klara made her official debut and what a start, she won youngster class out of 10 entered. She then went on and was BB 2 with a CC, well done Alexandra & Klara!
Bree
won champion class and then went on and won BB. So we had brother & sister in the ring for BIS, the judge made Bree her winner of Best In Show. 81 whippets were entered to this show.

We took the ferry over to Åland for a Finnish International Kennel club show the day after.

We were joined at the show by Looper and his owners. Looper & Stavros were both entered in open class and both received Excellent. Stavros won the class and later was BD with a Finnish CC & Cacib! Tiger was 2nd BD with reserve CC & reserve Cacib. Looper BD 4.
Bree won champion class and then went on and won BB and with that she completed her Finnish championship.
So then again I had 2 Burnt Sienna dogs as BOB & BOS! Bree took the breed for judge Arne Foss Norway. She then went in the Group ring under Åke Cronander Sweden, and won!
In the main ring for BIS the judge was Kurt Nilsson Sweden.......He made Bree his winner!!!!!!!! 1684 dogs of all breeds were entered to this show.

What a day, what a weekend....
I'm so happy & proud of my dogs and my puppy buyers for taking such good care of their dogs, and for loving them no matter what.

July 29th

We have been to our 2 largest Whippet & Sighthound club shows last weekend and we only had 3 Burnt Sienna dogs entered. And they did very well!
Stavros was best male for judge Pamela Marston-Pollok (Falconcrag) at the Whippet club show out of 82 entered males & Tiger was best male for Johnston McLeod (Peperone) at the Sighthound club show out of 48 entered males!

Bree was out for the first time after having her puppies so she was not in her best shape, but she loved being in the ring again! She placed 5th in a large champion class so we are happy for this.

Some pictures of them from the show on their pages. Lexi has 12 week photos on her page too.

June 8th

Due to some cancellations we still have a few sweet male pups available to loving & forever homes. All the pups have names on their pages now.

And then I have to brag about my husband Krister. We went to another Viper club meet and this time a small air strip was rented for drag racing and super stage. Krister had a very good time on the drag strip but had the very best time by far on the super stage, what a guy!!!

May 20th

The puppies have their own individual pages with photos, go to their gallery.

May 14th

Next week the pups are getting their own individual pages with photos. Now they can see & hear and are walking around on wobbly legs.

New pictures of the puppies, they have their gallery here now. They are growing and doing fine.

Dustin has fathered a lovely litter at Kennel Rhetsgis, go have a look!

April 24th

Bree gave birth to 9 wonderful puppies during the night, 5 boys & 4 girls!
They are a large variety of colors as you can see, fawn, bluebrinde, redbrindle, red and all of them with different amounts of white trim.
Bree is the perfect mom. More pictures will come shortly.

April 19th

Last weekend Stavros won BOB at Stockholm International Show gaining a CC & Cacib.
There were 45 Whippets entered and the judge was Marie Christine Dellabelle from Belgium, she also judged the Group.
He was placed 2nd in the group, defeated only by the Saluki, one of last year's top winning dogs out of all breeds here in Sweden.
Steffie was 5th Best Bitch.

Unfortunately I haven't received any pictures from this show either, it's hard taking any yourself while in the ring....
So here are headshots of mother and son which I took in the yard the other day.

Our beautiful cat Bertil has sadly been put to sleep after a short period of illness, may he rest in peace now.
He was the most wonderful and sweetest cat ever, truly missed by MANY that got to know him.

January 12th

We took a short trip up to my sister Janet and her husband Örjan that live in Järvsö. The weather was beautiful and the guys went on a scooter safari, my sister and I took the car and met them for lunch since we had Kendra with us, she's a little bit to young for the scooter yet...

This picture of the moon was taken at 3 in the afternoon.......

They took a night trip up to a cabin on a mountain later that same evening. Örjan took their ATV instead so their dog Mason could sit on back and go with them...not something my whippets would like to do in January!

January 8th

Happy News & Sad News.......

We went on a 3 day show trip and did very well. Stavros won his class all 3 days and was placed in BD all days too. He also won his first CC under judge De Giuliani Claudio, Italy.

Bree was entered 2 of the days and won Champion class both times. The last day she also won BOB and recieved her last qualifing Cacib for her International title, judge was Nenne Runsten Airescot whippets. She was placed 4th in the Group later under judge Kenneth Edh.

Kelly was there 2 of these days and was BOS puppy on Sunday and BOB puppy on tuesday.
Stavros sister Grace was at the show on sunday and was 5th in her class with CK, Champion quality.

Now to the sad news.
Tindra
is no longer with us. She has been so healthy almost her entire life but the last 6 months she wasn't doing so well. So we decided to let her go in peace before she got worse.
She didn't ask for much but was a big part of our lives and will be deeply missed by our whole family, sweet, sweet Tindra rest in peace.....

Pictures on their pages!!!

I'll start off this year with a new photo gallery of our daughter Kendra for those who would like to follow along as she grows!
