& Stavros

December 26th
I finally gave up the old guestbook that
never worked and installed a new one, feel free to try it out!
A few new pictures of our cats!
December 14th
A long time since the last update, things
are busy with a little baby at home!
Sotis
is doing very well after all of her shoulder issues. She walks
a bit strange but is happy and plays with the other dogs and is
painfree now, so we are very greatful that she is still in our
lives.
We have been to a several shows and a
few are worth mentioning.
Stavros
went to our local Kennel club show in the beginning of October
to warm up for the remaining of this years showing. He did well
and ended up BIS 3 of all breeds just after celebrating his 1st
Birthday.
In the beginning of November we went to a Whippet club speciality
and Stavros
won Junior class, Best In Show Junior and was placed as 4th best
dog.
Bree
was 2nd in Championclass and ended up 4th best bitch, more than
120 whippets were entered to this show! Tiger
won championclass and ended up 2nd best dog. Judge Roger Wiklund,
Signum Whippets.
At this show we got to see 4 of Lacey's puppies, from our 2008
litter. I took pictures of all 4, go see them on Kelly,
Wiggo,
Klara
& Annies
pages!
The weekend after that we went to a Sighthound
show and again Stavros
won Junior class. He ended up 2nd best dog, judge Saija Juutilainen
Finland.
Finally we went to the last show of this year and once again Stavros
won Junior class which qualified him for Crufts 2009 (again since
he won junior class at the World show also!!). He was placed 5th
best dog. Bree
was 2nd in champion class and ended up 2nd best bitch, judge Unto
Timonen Finland (Woodbrook's).
To sum things up for 2008 Bree
is 3rd top winning bitch in Sweden. Stavros
5th top male & 2nd on the debutant list, pretty darn good
concidering only being able to compete since July when he went
out for the first time in junior class and became a World Winner!
Tiger
was 3rd top male.
Burnt Sienna was 4th top breeder with only 6 dogs competing and
Sotis
2nd top brood bitch. Stella
was nr 1 Whippet Race bitch!
So we can say that we are happy with this years results and are
even happier for our beautiful baby girl Kendra!
September 11th
Bree
gained her Swedish, Danish & Norwegian Championship last weekend!
She won her final Swedish CC & R-Cacib at the Kennel club
show in Högbo, 2nd BB after winning Open bitch class and
only beaten by an International Champion in BB line up.
Steffie
was 2nd in championclass but not placed in the BB line up.
Stavros
won Juniorclass and ended up 5th BD after 3 champions and an Open
dog that received the CC.
Burnt Sienna also won Breeders class but didn't stay for the finals.
Steffie
was in heat and Stavros
was going wild after her......
Judge Nenne Runsten, Sweden of kennel
Airescot.
Kendra and daddy Krister were with us
at this 2 day show. Kendras first trip to a show, 15 days old
and staying at a hotel! Daddy did an excellent job taking care
of her while mommy was busy with the dogs.
We picked up Sotis
at the Animal hospital on monday, she was just as happy as we
were to come home again.
Just look at what they took out of her, all of this hardware is
from her surgery last fall!
September 2nd
And now she is here, Kendra Evelina Winder, our
2 legged baby girl. She was born August 21st.
Our little human family have all taken and old family name after
my Grandmother on my mothers side, Winder!
Having her first bath with daddy's help.........

Oohh that was wet!

And then some news that aren't as happy....
Sotis is going in for another surgery on thursday, please keep
your fingers crossed that she can have a successful operation
and spend the rest of her life painfree.
We are just devastated that she has had to go through all of this,
she is such a wonderful girl....
Sotis giving Kendra a first kiss saying welcome
home....
August 11th
All the puppies
have moved to their new homes now and we wish them good luck,
it's empty here at home.....
August 8th
Put up a few new pictures of Bree
from the matchshow.
I had forgotten to put out Patience
blog link, sorry! She has written alot about her trip
to Sweden and telling about the 5th Int. Whippet Congress, so
go check it out!
August 1st
Iris
came over for a visit a few weeks ago so we took some new pictures
of her, she had just turned 10 months old.
July 31st
Most of the
puppies
have moved to their new homes now and finally I have some time
to update!
We are very proud that our little boy
Stavros
won BOB junior at the World show a few weeks ago! So now he has
a new title JWW-08!!!
He was first in the ring under judge Thomas Münch, Germany
of kennel Flic Flac were he won the junior class males. He then
moved over to the bitch ring and competed against the winning
junior bitch and won! Judge in that ring was Magnus Hagstedt Sweden
of kennel Signum.
So from there we went in the main ring and having all best of
breed winning juniors from 3 different groups in competition.
Stavros
was in the ring all the way to 3rd place out of all these juniors!!
Judge there was Per Iversen Norway.
Stavros had not even
turned 10 months yet, so it was his first time out in offical
class and he did make us proud!
Stavros daddy Mike
won BD and earned his Swedish CC and WW-08 title, so happy for
you Tone!
Bree
ended up 2nd in a HUGE open bitch class, she has just been in
season so I can't say she was thrilled about the whole thing.....
Then we had the 5th Int. Whippet Congress
here in Sweden so of course we had to attend at this!
I had dear friends that had travelled from the US to be
here at this Whippet week that we will never see the likes of
again in this country ( not while I'm alive anyway!!).
Patience Renzulli that has "my" William,
Brees brother that is, and her travel compainion Crystal Mcnulty.
We had a wonderful time both here at my house and the following
week at Krägga were the Congress was held.
Patience helped out with showing Looper,
Brees & Williams litter brother and they made a great team
even though never have seen eachother before. Looper ended up
in 2nd place in a huge Open class.
Crystal was kind enough to help show Dustin,
they made the cut but were not placed in Open class. They also
did a very good job together in the ring! New pictures on both
these boys pages.
Bree
was also invited to the Match Show on one of the evenings at Krägga,
they had invited last years top winning whippets from Scandinavia.
She was in no luck at this but I know the best dog went home with
me anyway!
Then at the Sighthound show the following
weekend Tiger
won his Swedish Championship! He was 2nd best dog with CC before
our boy Stavros
that was 3rd. In 4th place was Stavros daddy and 5th his Grandfather...
Stavros was BOB Junior
once again and went all the way to BIS Junior at this huge Sighthound
show.
The well known Philip Moran-Healy from Great Britain of Hillsdown
kennel was the judge.
And we also have to say congratulations
to Rhetsgis
Lord Calvert with his breeder/owner who has now won
his final CC and became a Swedish Champion!
Our JWW -08 Burnt Sienna Cutting Edge
just after being placed 3rd BIS Junior!
And his Daddy Mike with proud Owner/Breeder
Tone Orre

May
22th
No it wasn't for good...we have had more
problems with our Internet and especially e-mails, it's working
today so I'll update now.
I took Stavros
and Bree
to an all breed Kennel club show in the south of Sweden last weekend
and they both did well.
Stavros
won BOB puppy and competed in the big ring for BIS puppy but was
not placed.
Bree won BOB and
gained another CC, but is still to young for her Championship.
She went from there to win the Sighthound group, and ended up
4th BIS!
Breed & Group judge Åke Cronander (Albicans) and BIS
judge Svend Lövenkjaer.
It was a long day but with those results completley worth it,
the long drive home was so easy that day! I hope to be able to
publish some pictures from this but I didn't bring my own camera
with me since I was traveling alone, I could have chosen a better
day to leave the camera at home I guess......
I will hopefully get pictures up of the
pups with their own pages next week, IF our Internet is WORKING!!!!!!
They are growing and doing fine, they have opened their eyes and
can hear now.
This coming weekend we are doing something
NOT dog related for a change. We are going to the beautiful Island
Gotand, east of Sweden for a Christening of our niece Paulina.
And my husband Krister is joining up with what turned out to be
the largest Viper meet-up ever in Europe, some 35+ Vipers in one
place! They have rented the new built race track Gotland Ring
and we are all staying at the same hotel over the weekend and
just enjoying ourselfs. But it will be very strange not having
any dogs with us, we have a dog/house sitter coming over to take
care of the gang!
My dear husbands toy, a Dodge Viper.....
May 13th
Finally we are back online!
We have have had serious Internet problems here for a few weeks
and last week it went completely down, so they sent out an technical
expert today and fixed it. (we hope for
good!)
So now I have put up some pictures of
the pups in their gallery
here.
Stavros father Mike
gained his Champion title this past weekend, we send our warmest
congratulations to him and his owner/breeder Tone Orre, kennel
Farytail in Norway!

This weekend
the Swedish Whippet club had a speciality show in Gnesta. Judge
was Whippet breeder Tamara Howarth from France of kennel Taraly.
101 whippets were entered this year.
We had a very succesful day, Bree
winning Best In Show! Stavros
won puppy class 6-9 months. Tiger
was 3rd BD and Hugo
4th. Bree's father "Latte" Ch Mac Bells Citizen Kane
was BOS, quite a family day.
New pictures on all the above dogs pages, some older ones put
up aswell.
My dogs have
been fortunate at this show earlier years too. Sotis won BIS 2005,
Steffie 2006 & Bree 2008! I was attending the AWC Nationals
in Kansas City 2007 so we couldn't contend that year.
Former years
BIS winners relaxing in bed yesterday with this years winner...Bree,
Sotis & Steffie.
April 2nd
We went to
the vet today who confirmed that
Lacey is
in whelp!!
The puppies will be born in the beginning of May and will be ready
to move the first week in July if all goes as planned. Go to Puppies
page for more info on the parents!
Sotis
was at her last check-up at the Animal Hospital yesterday and
they were pleased with her progress. So now she doesn't have to
go back there anymore and we are ALL happy for that!
And a new
picture of Bree
on the table at Crufts.
Several
new walking leads, you will find them on the
Koppel page.
March 20th
Finally some
pictures of Bree
from Crufts. A huge thanks to Wendy
& Nick Jones for sending me these pictures, I really appreciate
it!
Bree did very well placing second in Open class, a big tough class
against several champion bitches, we are so proud of our young
girl.
And pictures of both Steffie
& Bree

haven't published before, scroll down a bit on Bree's page. Also

Dustin
has fathered a beautiful litter at kennel Farytail
in Norway. Go have a look!
February 30th
Stavros
made his debut in the ring last weekend at a local kennelclub
show. He had never even had a showlead on him before going in
the ring but he did great.
The breed was judged by Christina Roseen-Lundström, a well
known Afghan breeder, she also judged the group and placed Stavros
BOB puppy AND Group winner of Sighthound puppies.
He went on to compete for BIS under judge Hans Almgren, who
placed him at the top! Only 4½ months old and competing
against pups from the age of 4-12 months. There were 365 puppies
of all breeds entered at the show, quite a debut for this sweet
little boy!
January 26th
Several new
walking leads, you will find them on the
Koppel page.
January 18th
Several new
walking leads, you will find them on the
Koppel page.
And a few
new links.
We started
the new year with going to Gothenburg for a few days of showing.
Tiger
was Best male and received a CC at the Sighthound show, so now
he has 2 CC's.
Steffie
was 2nd best bitch with R-Cacib on one of the days.
Have put
up a few pictures of Stavros
at 14 weeks.
I took Sotis
to the Animal Hospital yesterday again for another check up and
they were very pleased with her progress.
She is slowly walking on her front left leg again, looking a bit
strange but we don't care, we are so happy that she is moving
forward!
Here is an
X-ray taken yesterday, she won't make it through airport security
without a written note from the vet in the future, look at all
that metal inside her!
