Bree ended this year in great style, she won Best of Breed at Swedens largest KC show of the year!
She gained a CC & Cacib and a new fancy title: Nordic Winner -07. She is also qualified to Crufts with this win. Judge was Anne MacDonald, UK.
She then went on to be Group 3 in the final ring. Judge there David Miller, USA.

A perfect way to end this years showing, 3 Cacib's & 3 CC's in 3 different countries under 3 different judges within 3 weeks!

Steffie was out for the first time after having her puppies and was placed 3rd out of 5 in champion class with CK.

We received a few new pictures from Leo in his new home.

Sotis is doing wonderful after her surgery, she has slowly started to walk on her front left leg again, but when outside she still jumps on 3 legs.

Tiger has fathered a nice litter at kennel Tappinskis, added to links.

December 12th

We went to Helsinki, Finland this weekend and Bree was 2nd Best bitch only defeated by an International Champion once again.
So she gained a Finnish CC (which unfortunatley she is to young to have any use of due to some strange rules, but we were already aware of this) and a R-Cacib which will be converted to a Cacib after going via FCI since the winning bitch already is a confirmed International Champion.
Judge was Åge Gjetnes from Norway.

Leo has moved to his new family that has been waiting for him a long time!

A few new pictures of Stavros.

November 26th

We went to Hamar, Norway this weekend and Bree was 2nd Best bitch only defeated by an International Champion.
So she gained a Norwegian CC and a R-Cacib which will be converted to a Cacib after going via FCI, not bad for our 17 month old bitch.

Tiger won youthclass and Hugo was 4th in open, both gaining CK (champion quality awards). They were not placed in BD line up. Judge was Jarmo Vuorinen from Finland.

Tomorrow we are taking Sotis back to the Animal hospital to take X-rays of her shoulder, we're hoping everything looks good and in place....

November 19th

Sadly we had to put Steffies first born son to sleep last week, may he rest in peace.

And another bitch puppy named Grace, moved to her new home.

Sotis is doing very good without the bandages, she does have alot of work ahead with learning how to use all 4 legs again.

November 12th

The puppies have started to move to their own homes now.
And they all have new 8 week pictures up!

November 6th

We had to take Sotis back to the animal hospital today since she started to get sores from wearing the bandage for so long. So they decided to take it off now so she wouldn't start to get infected instead. Now we must keep a close eye on especially one sore on her foot.

The puppies have got names, look at their own pages.

Sotis tonight, a little tired after a long day visiting two different vets...

November 2nd

Several new walking leads, you will find them on the Koppel page.

I'm going to pick up Sotis today at the Animal Hospital, she had her shoulder fixated on monday and is ready to come home now.

She is home now!! Look at the wonderful heart the staff put on her....

October 1st

B.S. Makena, B.S. Lake Shore Drive & B.S. Midsummer Love all took their Lure Coursing licences yesterday.
B.S. Midsummer Breeze ran for the first time with an other dog and finished her first test.

Now to some not as fun news, Sotis is at the Animal Hospital since last friday with a unusal shoulder dislocation.
Hopefully she will have surgery today. She was hit right on the shoulder last year by another dog (not Whippet) and it has gone from bad to worse, and now it's popping out of placement since all muscles and ligaments thats supposed to keep it in place are stretched out and damaged.
We are hoping for a successful operation and a quick healing for our wonderful and beautiful girl.....

We have been to several shows since last and have some great news:
Hugo, B.S. Rush Street gained his Swedish championship, it happened so fast we have hardly realized it yet!

Judge Terry Nethercott, UK

Both Bree & Kelsey have placed among the 5 best bitches at the shows they have been to.
Steffie unfortunatly has a small toe injury after lure cousing early this summer, not showing her best, but now she will have some time to heal and relax.....maybe....

June 18th

It's been a busy couple of weeks both in the dog world and in my "real" life.

This past weekend at a Sighthound show in Sweden Bree won her first CC after winning a large Juniorclass.
She was 2nd Best bitch only defeated by an International Champion, and won BOB Junior and ended up BIS 2 Junior out of all sighthounds!

She will turn 1 year old on saturday, well done for this young bitch that we are so happy and proud of!

Hugo was 3rd Best Dog, pictures of him on his own page.

Burnt Sienna was BOB Breeders group and went BIS 2 in the finals.

In Sweden

After spending the night at a hotel we took the ferry to Denmark and attended a Kennel club show. It went even better here, Bree was Best Bitch, but is to young to recieve a Cacib so it was passed on to the 2nd BB, but she did get a Danish CC and BOS.

Hugo was 3rd Best dog again.

From Denmark

The weekend before we went to a Kennel club show in Norrköping and Tiger earned his first CC from Junior class, 2nd Best Dog after a Champion male.
Hugo was 4th Best Male. Bree was 4th Best Bitch.

Here is Tiger on the move.

And in between there we picked up both Krister's & my new toy at the harbour in Gothenburg that we had bought in the US and has been on the way for 2 months!

I had this car travelling to and from Kansas City - Chicago when attending the Whippet nationals, it was great!

This picture is taken in Kansas, my sister Janet with Steffie & Bree.

Krister got this car, I said I can't fit any whippets in that!!! Well mayby one...according to Steffie.

Steffie checking out the new ride.

May 25th

The second day Bree won junior class but was not placed in the BB line up. We didn't have any males entered from Burnt Sienna this day due to some misunderstandings......

April 15th

So many things have happened in the last couple of weeks with Burnt Sienna whippets involved!

We took a trip to the AWC Nationals that was in Kansas City this year.
I had two of my girls with me from Sweden, they were real troopers and did well traveling.

Bree didn't place in her own class but ended up 3rd in Brace class with her littermate William that I Co-own and is living in Kentucky with Patience Renzulli at Warburton whippets. Here they are expertly handeled by Patience.

Steffie was entered in Open bitch class were she was placed 4th out of some 50 bitches!
It was a very nice suprise to do so well at the worlds largest whippet show, the show had over 700 entries...

William was in a close fight for 1st place in his class 9-12 months male puppies, but was eventually defeated and ended up 2nd.
His other brother Quincy's was in the last cut but not placed among the first four.

This is William on the table in Kansas City:

And things were NOT at rest back home in Sweden while we were gone...

At a Whippet club show in Gnesta Hugo and Tiger were in the top placings, Tiger 2nd best dog and Hugo 3rd!
Judge was Timo Aalto, kennel Whiptails Finland.

The weekend after that at Stockholms International Show, Hugo was 2nd best dog with his first CC and Reserve Cacib!!!
Judge was Svante Frisk, Sweden.
Congratulations Madde, well done!!

March 25th

We took Bree to an unofficial all breed show today.

Whippets were judged by Ingela Kyrklund, Kennel Colts.

She won junior class and ended up Best Bitch, beaten by a champion male for the breed!

This was her first outing in junior class, she turned 9 months just 2 days before this show.
